Stage 10: Xinestosu-L'Acebu

From the sanctuary of cheese to L’Acebu Sanctuary. There’s nothing better to start the route than gaining strength with a good Xinestosu cheese. And in the finish line, you could taste a delicious collard greens stew. Walking and tasting. It is a great plan for a walking day along the tops that separate Cangas del Narcea of Somiedo.

DO YOU KNOW THAT…?

Xinestosu has a great cheesy tradition, nowadays lacking. In spite of that, some neighbours can explain the production process ofthis cheese, that was first elaborated with cow and goat milk. Nowadays, there are some reminds of this work in the ‘ol.leras’ (a kind of stone cupboard to store milk churns).
